Though his team did not make the Super Bowl in what was considered to be one of Tom Brady’s greatest seasons, coach Bill Billicheck of the New England Patriots still has something to show for this past season. Billacheck has been awarded the Associated Press Coach of the Year Award. He has been awarded this honor twice before in both2003 and 2007. “I accept the award on behalf of the entire organization — ownership, ourassistant coaches and certainly the players — they’re the ones that stepped up and madethe plays this year,” Belichick said when he accepted his award on the NFL network onWednesday.
